The Galaxy Electric-Los Angeles Strikes Back

Their Music can be described as a mixture of psychedelic pop,Giallo Films, the 60's and haunted areas of the mind.
Here's a small interview

1.What influenced you to create that kind of music?
We surround ourselves with sights and sounds that inspire and
challenge us. Like the Radiophonic Workshop, Al Jarnow films, Global
Psych bands from the 60s and 70s, and musique concrete. Augustus has
always been enamored with analog synthesizers, tape effects and spring
reverbs, which really informs our sound and recording techniques. All
four of us studied music at university, which afforded the opportunity
to explore experimental sounds and rhythms.

2.what is your place among the world and the people in music business?
We've all been making music in bands for many years. In 2012, a group
of us started an artist collective/record label, called Gazelle
Recordings, to collaboratively release our music, and other projects
to the world. We do everything together, from production to music
videos to album art and live show production. We have been putting on
showcases in LA for a few years now, but we're all starting to spread
out around the globe, so it's a malleable process.

3.are you gonna record a full length album in the near future?
We have been collecting songs for a full length and plan to release an
album in the spring of next year. Hopefully on vinyl.

4.what is the usual process of composing your songs?
We (Augustus and Jacqueline), are always collaborating on
compositions. Sometimes it starts with a beat from Susan, or a bass
line from Gus, or Jacqueline comes to the group with a fully written
song with just keys and vocals and everyone else fills in the gaps and
takes it to another level. Grayson always seems to add something that
we didn't know the song needed with his vibraphone and effects rig.

5.your music could be described as a mixture of psychedelic pop, giallo
films, the 60's and haunted areas of the mind,is this how you feel
about your music?
That's pretty much exactly how we feel about our music. We're really
glad that comes across.

6.Tell us 10 albums you love the most
Rod Freeman & The Blue Men - "I Hear A New World (An Outer Space
Fantasy by Joe Meek)"
White Noise - "An Electric Storm"
Silver Apples - "Silver Apples"
Morton Subotnik - "Silver Apples of the Moon/The Wild Bull"
Serge Gainsbourg - "Gainsbourg Percussions"
Honey LTD - "The Complete LHI Recordings"
Broadcast - "Work and Non Work"
Belbury Poly - "The Belbury Tales"
Os Mutantes - "Os Mutantes"
Francis Bebey - "African Electronic Music 1975-1982"

7.please share a few things about yourselves to our readers,is there a
secret behind the galaxy electric name?

Our name reflects our fascination with The Atomic Age and early
experiments in electronic music creation - ie Delia Derbyshire, Daphne
Oram, and even Suzanne Ciani.
The way the four of us came together to form this band is cosmically
absurd and magical. So it seems fitting. We (Augustus and Jacqueline)
were touring in another band and happened to open for a band that
Susan was playing drums in at a hole in the wall in Eugene, OR. When
that band disintegrated and we (Gus and Jax) began forming this new
project, we immediately thought of Susan. When we reached out to her
years later, she came down to LA with her boyfriend, Grayson, whom we
had never met, and somehow it all just made sense. We started
recording the first half of the album the day after meeting.
